A utility model offers similar protection to a patent but applies to simpler inventions that do not meet the full requirements for patentability.

• Prior Art Search

The inventive product, system, or method is researched within the available documents in the known state of the art.

• Drafting of the Description and Claims

Once the decision to proceed with filing an application is reached following the prior art search, the description and the claims — disclosing the invention and defining the scope of protection, respectively — are drafted.

• Drawing and Editing of Figures

In the disclosure of the invention, if required, drawings and/or illustrations are drafted, and any available existing drawings or illustrations are revised.

• Procedural Actions Regarding the Application

The entire application process, from filing of the application to the decision to grant the certificate, is monitored and carried out before the relevant official patent office on behalf of the applicant.

• Drafting of Opposing Opinions to Search and Examination Reports

Opinions are drafted in response to the reports issued during the search and examination procedures concerning the invention disclosed in the application.

• Payment of Annuity Fees

Annuity fees must be paid starting from the first year after the application, due on or before the same date each year as the original filing date. This process is closely monitored, with our experts providing timely reminders when necessary.

• Recordal of Address/Title/ Change of Name and Recordal of License/Merger/Assignment

Any recordal of address, title, change of name and recordal of license/merger/assignment is carried out before the relevant authority.

• International Patent Applications

The commercial rights obtained through a patent are protected only within the countries where the application is filed. International applications can be made through: separate National Applications in each country, International Patent Applications (PCT), and Regional Applications (European/Eurasian Patent Applications).
